Each quotation will inspire one of the pieces of writing listed above - Essay of a Turning Point In Your Life, Character Sketch, Extended metaphor poem, cause/effect essay, and genre of your choice.
Your project will be graded on the six trait rubric.
Reading and journaling on your novel will take the quarter. Photographing, writing, conferencing and revising of essays will take place simultaneously with reading plus three more days for revising and getting on web pages. You may check out a camera from me for overnight or week end use, but you may only keep it for two days as other students need to use it. All photos will have to be taken in time for me to get them to you before the project is due. If you have your own digital camera, you may use it and put your photos on your web pages. In addition to the five photos on the first page, you may include photos within your poems and essays.
