During April, which is National Poetry
Month, we will be reading and writing poems on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
We will devote the first 30 minutes of class to the poetry and do our other
writing in the last 20 minutes. All poems will be published in a Poetry
Portfolio on your website. On the poetry page, insert a table. Put the title
of each of your poems in a cell and then hyperlink to your poem which you will
insert into a new page. In the calendar below are links to poems on the WWW.
Click on the link, read the poem, then using the poem as a model, write your
own poem on the same subject or following the model as the directions tell
you.
